Violet Huerta, MBA, MAPC, LPC
Owner/ Therapist / Clinical Supervisor
My Counseling Philosophy:
I am all about empowering and guiding women on their journey to self-discovery. I will partner with you to achieve your desired emotional and life goals. If you are ready to work hard and commit to applying the skills you learn, you will walk away from counseling with the tools you need. When counseling is used effectively, it can be a powerful tool that can be applied in all areas of your life. If you are searching for evolution in your life, then I am the person for you.
Training and Therapy Approach:
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have received training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocess (EMDR) I & II, Advance EMDR training, Trauma Informed Care, and the Neurobiology of Trauma. I have also received basic and advance training in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders through Postpartum Support International. I also had the privilege to have received training on Grief and Loss from David Kessler, experts and lecturers on death and grieving. In addition, I have obtained other evidence-based trainings that have prepared me to work with individuals experiencing symptoms of trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder.
I mostly work with women and occasionally with men who are struggling with trauma symptoms. My areas of specialty include Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), birth trauma, pregnancy trauma, postpartum issues, motherhood issues, emotional stress from fertility treatment, grief and loss from miscarriage, codependency, domestic violence, childhood trauma, anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem.
What to Expect from Me:
Not only do I bring to the table many years of experience and education, but I also understand firsthand how some of these issues can complicate life. I have overcome many difficult times and I believe you can too. I approach therapy with an open mind and without judgment. I will use your strengths to help you achieve your goals. Call me for a free consultation and remember “Dare to Live a Fearless Life!”
When I Am Not Working:
I’ve held many titles in my career but the most recent one, and the one I am most proud of, is being called “Mommy”. I have a young toddler, who keeps me on my toes, and I am absolutely in love with her. For fun I like to listen to music, work in the garden, watch movies, and I am a self-proclaimed “foodie”. I am also a Pinterest fanatic and enjoy the DIY projects.
What My Patients Are Saying
“Although I had an episode this last Holiday. My therapy helped me identify what went wrong and learned to identify future warning signs to look out for. I am thankful and overall satisfied with the help and therapy that I’m receiving and look forward to gaining more skills to be in control. I totally recommend Violet as she is a great listener and therapist.”
